    There are some great things the Spark 2 version can do that Spark 3 cannot yet do. We are eager to add them to the new Spark version in upcoming releases - some features are already under development, and some are planned.     At the moment, Spark relies on the mail rules created on your email account server. There is no way to create or manage them via Spark.

    However, we understand that this feature can be helpful for many users and have it on our wishlist for further improvements. You can vote for this feature so that our team will surely let you know if mail rules are supported in Spark.

    As a workaround, you can set up rules on the server, and these settings will be synchronized to Spark. Here is the list of the most popular email services and instructions on how to set up the rules:

    Currently, we are not planning to add the "read receipt" feature to Spark. Meanwhile, if this feature is important for your workflow, you can share your feedback with us using the form below.
    Currently, there isn't an option to change the font while composing an email. The default settings are Inter, 14. If this option is important for your workflow, you can share your feedback using the form below.

    You can change your email account password on the web page of your provider. Please note: this is not an option in Spark.

    Here are instructions on how to change the password for the most popular email providers:

    When you open Spark after changing the password, the app asks you to log in again to update your account credentials.

    If you’ve turned two-step verification on, you need to enter an additional security code when signing in. Outlook can send you a verification code via a text message, a call, an authenticator app, or your alternate email address. Make sure you enter the exact code you receive.

    You can check and manage the two-step verification method in the Security settings of your Microsoft account.

    Some organizations enable a firewall to prevent access to certain websites from their networks. Ask the administrator if there are any restrictions or blocked ports in your network. Please also make sure your apps don’t restrict Spark connection to the internet (if you use a firewall, antivirus, etc.). Alternatively, you can try to connect to a different network.

    Please use the tab of the corresponding email provider or the Set up manually tab to log in to Spark.

    Make sure your account supports IMAP/SMTP or check if it supports EWS by following these instructions or contacting the IT administrator at your organization. Also, ensure that basic authentication is allowed and that the server has the 2007 Service Pack 1 or newer.

    Spark doesn’t support POP3 protocols.

    • My account uses POP3 protocol and/or my server has an older version.
    • My account supports IMAP/SMTP or EWS, and the server has the 2007 service pack or newer.

    Please discuss the possibility of changing the protocol and/or updating the server version with your network administrator. When the changes are made, try to add your account to Spark again.
    Please try to use another network to add your account. Sometimes employees are banned from logging into their work accounts outside the office - ask your administrator if this is a restriction.

    If you use a VPN, we can’t guarantee Spark will work properly. The quality of the performance via VPN solely relies on the servers of the VPN network. For this reason, we recommend you turn the VPN off. Also, some organizations enable a firewall to prevent access to certain websites from their networks. Ask the administrator if access to Spark (as the third-party email application) or Google (Spark uses its servers) is allowed.

    If you have issues with viewing a specific email (links don’t work, attachments aren’t displayed, etc.), please follow the steps below.

    1. Open Spark Settings.
    2. Click Support and enable the Detailed Logging toggle.
    3. Open the email which isn’t displayed correctly.
    4. Click Message > Reparse on the Menu Bar on Mac or Message > Reparse on the Title bar on Windows.
    5. Open this email again. If it still looks corrupted, select Message > Send message data.
    6. In your message to our support team, describe the issues you have with this email.
    7. Click Send and we’ll get back to you soon.
